Ron Bailey has been painting in watercolour for about twenty years. He has studied with some notable teachers: Ron Muller, Giselle Bolotin Maynard and Edward Carr.
Ron and his wife have travelled extensively in Australia’s outback desert country. He loves the vast distances, remoteness, colours and the feeling of being spiritually close to this ancient land.
Bold colours are used to express the magic, the timelessness and the immensity of this vast and beautiful country.
Ron and his wife have a small cattle property close to Melbourne, which is run along organic lines. He practices conservation of the land without exploiting it.
His work has been exhibited regularly in various art shows, including a successful solo exhibition. His paintings are in several private collections.
